Q: Is there a manual for the installation process?
A: Yes, there is an installation manual on the software CD in PDF format. If you want to first read the manual, click cancel on the auto-installer window and browse to your CDROM drive and open the 'Install Manual.pdf' file in the Documents folder. (If you do not have Adobe® Reader installed on your machine, you can get a free copy at Adobe’s web site: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html).
Alternatively, download the latest installation manual from the Resources section.
Q: How do I restore an old patient database after upgrading HearID?

Q: I am getting Error 1706 "No Valid Source Could Be Found" What should I do?
A: This is an intermittent problem when installing multiple times from the same CD on the same machine. If you are updating or repairing your HearID installation, ensure you start the process from the control panel's Add or Remove Programs utility. Alternatively, you may cancel and restart the installation. As a last resort, do not cancel and let the process continue as you may not need the msi that it is trying to install (it may already be installed on your machine).
